MetaPack investment is good for e-commerce
In an article posted today, Internet Retailing have confirmed that former Tesco Chief Executive, Sir Terry Leahy has invested £2m in MetaPack. It’s a strong suggestion that the business model is working, and that the 10 years or so that MetaPack have been ‘the little guy’ may be over as they move front and centre amongst the industries big players.
It has always been an interesting concept, providing a middleware solution to streamline one’s shipping costs, but having to pay a per transaction fee to do so. But, the proof of the pudding is in the eating, and with Sir Terry now owning a 10% stake in the business, if his former track record is anything to go on (and it certainly is) then the future looks healthy for MetaPack and e-commerce could be the biggest winner of all.
MNP has already integrated with MetaPack for a number of clients, so if you are interested after reading the article, please do get in touch.
