As one of the UK’s leading solutions providers of order management, warehousing and purchasing management systems we work with some of the most interesting direct commerce operators in the UK. Our impressive portfolio of clients can range from niche web traders through to high street multi-channel retailers.

An opportunity has arisen with our expanding testing department to recruit an additional tester to join us. You will be responsible for carrying out functional and user acceptance testing on a wide variety of innovative applications and back end solutions.

This role, which reports to the Test Lead, will involve assisting in the preparation of test plans and test scripts to test the required software components and record the results.

We are looking for someone with a minimum of 2 years experience of functional and/or user acceptance testing and ideally, you will have previous experience of testing windows software applications/database applications written in SQL, C++ or .net languages.

Required skills/attributes:

• A good understanding of structured test methods, processes and the testing life cycle
• A good understanding of Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008
• Writing SQL statements to query database objects
• Good knowledge of manual testing techniques

Although the technical skills are of paramount importance you will also need to demonstrate good communication, project management and inter-personal skills.

C# .NET Web Developer

An opportunity has arisen with our expanding web team to recruit an additional web developer to join us. You will be developing both web and intranet based projects and be given opportunities to work on many of our key projects.

This role, which reports to the Senior Web Developer, will provide you with every opportunity to take responsibility for driving forward implementations and helping shape the future development and progression of our e-commerce services.

We are looking for someone with 2-4 years experience of developing for the web. Someone who is extremely enthusiastic and dedicated to keeping up to date and with the latest technologies and has a strong understanding of HTML and CSS is extremely important.

Skills required:
• C# ASP.NET
• A strong understanding of OOP
• Microsoft SQL Server 00/05/08
• CSS / HTML (useful)
• JQuery (useful)
• Classic ASP

Ideally, you will have previous experience of working on both intranets and e-commerce sites – preferably with retail and direct commerce operators – and also have experience of integrating into 3rd party propriety software.

Although your technical skills are of paramount importance you will also need to demonstrate good communication, project management and inter-personal skills.

This position is primarily as a remote, home based worker for which you will be provided with access to the very latest development software. You can be based anywhere in the UK but you will need to make occasional visits to our head office in Salisbury.

You will also need to demonstrate your suitability for self management and self motivation as a remote worker.

It is essential that you have a full driving licence and a car for site and head office visits.
